1981年本科毕业于河北农业大学畜牧系畜牧专业,硕士研究生毕业于东北农学院畜牧系动物营养专业。

1984年硕士毕业后留任东北农学院动物营养研究室任助理研究员。

1988年博士研究生毕业于东北农学院畜牧系动物营养专业

主要研究方向为营养与乳品加工,重点研究领域有乳制品质量安全控制与检测技术研究,乳酸菌代谢功能与发酵剂开发,婴儿营养与配方粉开发及乳制品多样化。在“十五”、“十一五”和“十二五”期间围绕乳品加工及质量和安全控制主持国家科技支撑项目、863项目、国家自然科学平台项目、国家自然基金项目、农业科技成果转化项目及省部级课题共计23项。获得省级科技发明一等奖1项,科技进步二、三等奖3项,中国高校科技进步二等奖1项,获得11项国家发明专利授权。共发表298篇论文,其中SCI论文25篇。转让专利成果2项,开发出原料奶细菌总数快速检测仪,体细胞快速检测仪,低温浓缩和低温喷雾设备,奶酪拉伸机和成型机,移动式乳品加工车,上述设备均产业化。截止目前,培养毕业培养出博士研究生47名,硕士研究生108名。
